PRP Injections

PRP injections are a treatment option that uses your body’s own natural healing ability to help reduce pain and improve movement. They are commonly used to treat knee osteoarthritis, as well as tendon, ligament, and other joint-related conditions.

What is PRP?

PRP is made from a small sample of your own blood. Platelets are a natural part of blood and play an important role in healing and tissue repair. By concentrating these platelets and injecting them into the area of concern, PRP aims to support the body’s healing response.

How does the treatment work?

  • A small amount of blood is taken from your arm, similar to a routine blood test

  • The blood is placed into a special machine that separates and concentrates the platelets

  • The platelet-rich plasma is then carefully injected into the affected joint or tissue

What are the benefits?

PRP works by encouraging healing from within, rather than simply masking symptoms. Patients may experience:

  • Reduced pain and stiffness

  • Improved joint movement and function

What to expect after the injection
